ARIANA IS VICTORIOUS!

Today was a big day in the Safi household. Ariana finally defeated her training wheels. We really hadn't worked with her at all except a couple of times in the fall, and with all of the dramatics that Ariana can produce, we had just given up. Rick decided to pull all the bicycles, Big Wheels, trykes and the Gator out of the Gator garage last night so that the children could start riding them. Ariana came home from Bebe and Gangan's house this afternoon, hopped on her old bike and within 3 minutes had bike riding mastered. We were so proud of her and there was lots of hootin' and hollerin' up and down the street. Evan is not too far behind with his mastering of bike riding either. And Tye Hill can drive the Gator and the Big Wheel like nobody's business. It is such a joy to see how proud Ariana is of herself and to see her accomplish something on her own terms....a definite feel good day!

The Fabulous 50's

Last night was Clegern's Carnival and we celebrated the Fabulous 50's. Of course Ariana had to be dressed era appropriately! We enjoyed the Sock Hop (Ariana had a hot date with Colin Short, ask me about him standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist! Yikes! in the 1st grade!), rootbeer floats, cotton candy, popcorn, plinko, and lots of other fun games and prizes. Ariana had such a great time.....

Pandemonium!

I had the privilege of having 2 of the 3 Timberlake clan at our house Saturday afternoon....they had a blast, but boy was I whooped! They were everywhere and into everything. I definitely was not cut out for being a mother of 5, so glad we stopped when we did. Needless to say, Allison owes me BIG TIME!

Such a Big Day!

Last night Evan came running into the kitchen while I was making dinner to inform me that Tye had fallen asleep on the couch. A hard day of playing with Evan and going to the park with Campbell and Keeton Rice finally had caught up to him.....a true first!

Evan has a host of Super Hero friends....Saturday night playing the part of Superman was Duncan Key....wowzers!

Tye Hill and his women

We have discovered that Tye Hill is quite the lady's man. At school he has 2 girlfriends, Emery Lock and Lily Bentley. Then Saturday night, we discovered he likes the younger ladies too when he was infatuated with Landry Key and Sadie Key.....Oh no, the drama to come in our life in 15 years!

Pearly Whites

Evan had his first teeth cleaning today at Rick's office. He was so good and loved Mr. Slurpee and posed for his first picture with an OSU PomPom girl, aka Cianne!

We played hookie!

Ariana played hookie from school today and we had an adventure to the Oklahoma History Museum...also known as the Hysterical Society from my Xerox days.....the kids loved the Special Exhibit of Oklahoma Hunting and Fishing and were intrigued by the Noodling section! If you haven't made it down there, do, it's worth a look-see! And they Winnie Mae cafe is great for lunch...the kids are ready for the next trip to the museum!
